Draft resolution for peace in Syria by the UN Security Council

Five of the UN Security Council countries have veto power (USA, Russia, France, Britain and China) have reached agreement on the draft of a resolution that will define the roadmap for peace in Syria, said diplomatic sources Agency.

The resolution is expected to be adopted later tonight from the 15-member UN Security Council.

The US representative to the UN, Samantha Powers undertook to communicate by telephone with the other 10 countries participating in the Council to inform it of the decision, they added their own diplomats who asked to respect their anonymity.

The Security Council session will start at 22.00 GMT.
