Defense chiefs meeting in Paris to fight IK

Chiefs of defense from the United States, France, Britain and other four countries met in Paris today to examine ways to accelerate their successes against the Islamic Republic (IR), with possible plans include increasing the number of police and military trainers.

The US Defence Secretary let Carter described the meeting as an opportunity for individual discussions between key stakeholders in the alliance in which the US-led and which also includes Germany, Italy, Australia and the Netherlands.

"I will seek their opinion and I will describe them my thoughts on how we can accelerate the campaign (against IK), which includes a variety of capabilities, military capabilities that will be required," said Carter, incorporating an increase in the numbers of trainers in the coming months, and the police which can help to preserve the soils conquer the Islamic State.

France was the first country declared participation in the alliance under the leadership of the US in Iraq. Since the attacks in Paris of IK in November, President Francois Hollande has exacerbated the French air operations against IK and Syria, contributing to around 20% of all attacks of the alliance.

It is indicative that no Arab state in the region is not taking part in the meeting. Senior US defense official said that many Arab allies are busy now under the leadership of Saudi Arabia against Hutu fighters in Yemen.

Carter said he would ask for greater involvement of Sunni Arabs, many of whom view with suspicion the Shiite government that the US support in Baghdad. They also blame America lukewarm stance against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

French defense official who spoke under anonymity regime said the alliance prevented to increase air attacks due to the effort made to avoid civilian casualties.

The meeting, he said, "these are not bombings no plan but to give impetus to military disorganized the management structure (the Islamic State) and stripped of economic resources."
