Egypt: At least six dead in bomb attack aimed at police
A bomb attack was thus killed six people, of whom three were policemen, currently a point of roads leading to the Pyramids, in the district of Giza in Cairo, according to sources in the security services in Egypt.
The bomb exploded while policemen arrived with their vehicles in front of a building where there were suspicions that hiding Islamists, stated the sources. Other the 13th people were injured.
The Interior Ministry issued a statement which says that the bomb placed members of the Muslim Brotherhood organization and that the mechanism was triggered while the police were preparing to make storming the building.
The Islamist attacks on staff of the Egyptian armed forces and police have increased dramatically since the military overthrew former President Mohamed Morsi, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood, in July 2013.
