The referendum among the Podemos States, should take place next week, on 14-16 April.
The question to be put to the voters of Podemos is whether they want to support a party government of Socialists and centrists or a "government of change" with the inclusion of the left and the PSOE.
The Iglesias hinted that if they choose the first option, which he rejects, will assume the "responsibility" of, but to talk about resignation.
The odds, however, to form a three-party government is minimal, since from Thursday Ciudadanos has declared that the differences with the Podemos remain unbridgeable.
On Thursday evening the PSOE, who came second in the elections of 20 December, managed to bring to the same table with Ciudadanos Podemos, the party with which Iglesias refused until now to negotiate on forming a government.
But Friday morning, both parties announced that this meeting has failed. The fact Iglesias stressed that the interlocutors automatically rejected his proposals.
"We got very frustrated at this meeting," said Iglesias, adding that his interlocutors answered "no" to all the suggestions made and also rejected the entrance of Podemos in government.
The parties have until May 2 to reach an agreement. If you do not achieve this, they launched new parliamentary elections on June 26 in order to break the political deadlock.
