Jeroen Dijsselbloem: There was only one red line in talks on Greek debt
Dutch Finance Minister and President of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem said in an interview with Reuters news agency that he expects negotiations to cut government spending and reforms in Greece have reached a definitive result in time for the next meeting of the Eurogroup on May 24 in order to be able to start negotiations on a Greek debt relief program, in three stages, he said.
The Ntaiselmploum told Reuters today that talks on Greece Monday unexpectedly went smoothly, although they had heard ominous sounds from Germany and the International Monetary Fund before the talks.
He added that now expects Athens to finalize the plans and spending cuts, privatization and reforms in time for the next round of talks on May 24.
