At least 10 wounded in the explosion near a police station in Istanbul



At least 10 people were injured when exploded the explosive device was placed in a motorcycle, which the perpetrators had left near a police station in Istanbul today, told reporters the governor of the region Vasip Sahin from the point of attack.

The explosion rocked the neighborhood Genimposna, a few kilometers from Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the largest airport in the country.

In figures put forward by Turkish television networks distinguished damaged vehicles, glasses and windows with broken panes in the area.

Sahin said that the wounded were all citizens and investigations are continuing on the identity of the perpetrators.

At present there has been no acceptance of responsibility.

According to Turkish media, the police is looking for a "suspect who wore a black coat," who fled the area shortly after the explosion.

Eyewitnesses said on Turkish television networks they heard a violent explosion which was followed by gunfire.

Kurdish organizations and the jihadists of the Islamic State have committed attacks in Turkey last year.

The last attack that shook Constantinople occurred in June, one month before the coup, when 45 people were killed in a triple bombing in Ataturk International Airport. The attack was attributed to the Islamic State.
