In Africa Merkel seeking ways to reduce migration flows
For a three-day visit to Mali, Niger and Ethiopia departed today kakgelarios of Germany Angela Merkel, seeking ways to reduce migration flows to Europe and to strengthen cooperation against terrorism.
In Mali, the German Chancellor will visit German troops participating in UN Minusma business. Followed by Niger, and Ethiopia will visit the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa.
Next week will be welcomed in Berlin the president of Chad Idriss Deby and the President of Nigeria Muhammad Bukhari.
"I think we need be concerned much more for Africa's fate. The prosperity of Africa linked to the interests of Germany, "said the chancellor in a video message, while in an interview in Die Zeit newspaper expressed the view that greater stability in Africa and better living conditions will allow to reduce the number of people seeking to migrate.
